CBRN OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Position is located in the PFPA Pentagon Operations Center (POC). The employee is an expert for non-standard threat responses; required to analyze and assess information regarding chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats within Pentagon, Navy Annex and DoW Leased Facilities. Coordinates with shift personnel, active duty, DoW civilians, & contract staff. Communicates with and provides recommendations and information to the Shift Lead, Senior Watch Officer, and POC Director.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Analyze and assess information regarding chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats within the Pentagon, Navy Annex and DoW Leased Facilities. Maintain knowledge of incident response plans for PFPA, local, state and federal jurisdictions, and response partners. Demonstrate rapid, accurate and precise situational awareness, analyzing, interpreting and distributing operationally relevant sensor and real-world mission information to appropriate agency stakeholders regarding all aspects of CBRN. Assist the Shift Lead as required and perform as the communications expert on the team.
